Practice with Keith Nelson. Nick says that he caught a cold last time and couldn’t play for Mt. Wellington last week. All got Gloriously Muddy. I predict Brazil will beat N.Z. 4-0 tomorrow

For all of my love of sport, I never really got into New Zealand’s domestic games. Rugby was, of course, a mainstay of weekend television during the winter months and I remember watching that on a Saturday afternoon whenever I wasn’t persuaded to do something more active instead.

Football just passed me by entirely though. If a player of the status of Keith Nelson had been training me back home you can bet I would have known who they were, which club they played for and probably who they had played for in the past. I don’t think I knew who Nelson played for before we were told he would be coaching us and I clearly didn’t know that he had not played that weekend just gone.
