Wilson had the whole school in for being noisy in assembly. Spurs won FA Cup 1-0 Hoddle pen 7 mins

To be fair to Mr Wilson, he had every right to be peeved. He was the one who had allowed the school day to begin late so that those of us who wanted to could watch the cup final replay and now we were overexcited and refusing to behave during assembly.

Not that we had much reason to be overexcited. The cup final replay somehow managed to be even duller than the first installment was. I only just woke up in time for the start of the game and was still bleary eyed when Tony Currie conceded the penalty which decided it. The game didn’t improve after then and I would later regret that we as a school used up one of our late starts on this match.
